Elena Rosenblum-Gonzalez Joins University of Richmond Entrepreneurship Advisory Board

The University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies (SPCS) has named Elena Rosenblum-Gonzalez, Vice President of Growth at Union Kitchen, to its advisory committee for the school’s entrepreneurship program. In this role, she will contribute her expertise to help guide and strengthen the program’s curriculum and outreach.

Elena brings a unique perspective to the position, shaped by her own path through the food and startup world. A graduate of William and Mary, Elena’s early experiences in international development and policy gradually shifted toward a deep interest in entrepreneurship. Her work with microlending and women's economic empowerment eventually led her to the food space, where she recognized how food businesses could serve as a powerful platform for community and economic growth. She joined Union Kitchen in 2018, where she has played a key role in helping launch and grow over 180 food startups, including brands like Snacklins, Compass Coffee, Caribe Juice, and Maspanadas.

As VP of Growth, Elena leads Union Kitchen’s efforts in supporting food entrepreneurs as they scale from idea to shelf. She manages investment strategies, helps teams set and meet growth goals, and works closely with founders to navigate everything from manufacturing to retail partnerships. Her approach balances business acumen with a deep appreciation for the personal stories behind each brand.

In joining the SPCS advisory committee, Elena will collaborate with fellow business leaders and faculty to bring real-world insights into the classroom. She will offer guidance on the changing landscape of food entrepreneurship and contribute to program development that equips students with practical tools and knowledge.

“I’m honored to join the advisory committee for the University of Richmond School of Professional & Continuing Studies,” said Rosenblum-Gonzales. “Entrepreneurship is a powerful tool for building careers, communities, and confidence. I’m excited to support a program that prepares students to bring their ideas to life.”
