Elena Rosenblum Speaks About Importance of COre Mission at UMBC
Elena Rosenblum, Vice President of Union Kitchen, recently had the opportunity to talk to student entrepreneurs at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC). Elena was able to share her insights into the importance of a strong mission in building a successful food business, inspiring the next generation of budding entrepreneurs!
Elena has a long and seasoned career at Union Kitchen, starting with us before the Accelerator was born! She worked closely with our CEO and Founder, Cullen Gilchrist to create a roadmap for food entrepreneurs by compiling all of the lessons learned from working with so many different CPG brands, and creating an ecosystem to support them based off of what she learned. In this position, Elena worked closely with aspiring food business owners, guiding them to discover their core mission. She believed that a strong and meaningful mission is the foundation of a successful venture. By defining their mission, entrepreneurs are able to translate their mission into actionable steps and viable strategies to make it a reality.
Union Kitchen works with 40 new brands every year! The entrepreneurs work closely with our team to develop their mission, vision, and strategy before launching a market ready product. Having a clear mission acts like a north star for a brand and helps keep them focused. Elena's recent speech at UMBC is another showcase of her commitment to fostering the next generation of food entrepreneurs.
